One of this products is OBS Studio, a free and open source software for video recording and live streamig ( ). Recently Microsft published a list of video encoders tested for Live streaming with Microsoft Stream ( ). So would my simple 16VAC PS still work if I switched the wires to be between the TOP and LEFT pins? And -yup, you guessed it – it did indeed. The next test: looking at the voltages measured on the MXU元 and how it’s speced, it looks like the LEFT and RIGHT pins are symmetrical, equal connections. While there IS a 3VAC lead in the stock PS, and it IS connected to the mixer, it doesn’t seem necessary for anything… (?) But I’ve got a couple 16VAC supplies in the junk both, and… bingo spanning the TOP and RIGHT pins does indeed power the mixer, not just the channel mix electronics, but the phantom power as well. Which posed this question to me: could I power the 502 with just 16VAC between TOP and RIGHT pins? I don’t want to buy a center tapped 36V transformer, as for what that would cost me, I might as well just buy the MXU元. The pins in the connector, looking at the plug on the end of the power cable from the front: These meters always seem to read voltage over the listed spec, so BLUE to YELLOW is the speced 16VAC. The AC voltages between the pins read as follows with my cheap Harbpr Freight multimeter: There’s nothing inside but the transformer coil itself which has 3 leads: BLUE, RED and YELLOW. So I decided to take it apart and check the wiring. I’m just reporting that via some circuitry vooodoo, this one works as well: I’m not doubting that that the MXU元 works for all the models listed. But I also have a Xenyx 1002B that still has the PS that came with it. If you read this, please leave a thanks, share the luv! □ Noting item 4 above, my guess is a similarly connected 24 volt DC supply might possibly power one of these machines, and bypass all that circuitry that makes things hot.ĥ. So my guess is that there is a circuit which creates the phantom power that accounts for almost all of the heat generated by these little mixers. The funny thing is that the 2nd mixer works beautifully, and I tried ALL its functions, except phantom power, and the interesting thing is that the 2nd mixer’s heatsink was very very cool. I used only two wires, one for positive, other for negative. The reading on the first pre-amp was about 23 or 24 volts DC. It was a simple matter of connecting the power supply line from one mixer’s preamp to the same place on the other mixer. I was tired of a mixer with only two pre-amps so I connected the two mixers together using only one power supply. When I say “seemed to function”, it seemed to mix all channels to the main mix bus, with no problems, and no noticeable distortion.ģ. My guess is the other two pins are for the phantom supply. One day I plugged an 18 Volt AC supply into two pins, and the Eurorack seemed to function. With a Eurorack with no power supply, I have great interest in creating one. There are many variations of power supplies out there, some say 3V, others leave it off, some say 13Wģ. There really is no 3V rail that is used on the power supplyĢ. Here are a few weird things I have noticed.ġ. Here is what the user manual to the Xenyx 802 says about the Power supply:Īdapter: Behringer PSU MX3UL (yes, this is not a typo) I own both a Eurorack UB802 and a Behringer Xenyx 802, and the PSU which is pictured above, says on it MXU元 (this is not a typo), is from the Xenyx 802, and works on either mixer. The voltages are :left pin to center pin: 20.7VAC My power supply came with my Xenyx802 and it is labeled “Eurorack power supply”. These are AC voltages! Also note, that the power supply says something about a 3V 100 mA output, but there is absolutely no evidence of it. My PSU measurements are in AC volts, there is a negligible voltage between the metal connector and any pin, and I checked for DC voltages in all combinations, and found none. Here are the pinouts with diagram and voltages. Here are the specs: USA/Canada model: 18.5VACX2 250mA.
The local saddlemaker was very helpful in this matter. My leather flap holsters have a magazine pouch adjacent to the sights and not on the lateral side of the holster. This is one more thing for undergrowth to catch and can cause confusion in the heat of the moment. I dislike stacking magazines on top of magazines. There are some clever rubber magazine covers that can be helpful but at the expense of slowing down a reload. I found myself disassembling magazines for cleaning every time the weapon was serviced. It didn’t take me long in the desert to discover sand invariably works it way into magazines which of course causes feed problems. These keep the weapon much cleaner than the uncovered grip 1911 style holsters. I have several leather holsters with enlarged flaps that cover the entire top and side of the grip. A few days building fence in rough country will convince most to shed the belt holster in favor of a military style flap style holster. I carried a P220 for decades in a fast draw belt holster but it was usually covered by a suit coat or sports jacket and I was not performing manual labor. Living and working outside, I find flap style holsters are required to keep debris out of the pistol (The old horse cavalry understood this). I like the post on what and how to carry. On the suspenders you can hang a full size utility blade such as a Ka-Bar which can be used as a last line of defense and if you replace the canteen with the Bianchi holster (which you can find for whatever full size pistol you own) then you’ll also have your side arm with you but protected from the elements. That simple belt that you see above holds a total of six M-16 magazines, two canteens and in the back you’ll find the old style medical pouch. The answer is the old Alice Gear of Vietnam fame. But I haven’t gotten to the solution so let me get there now. Troops have been suffering a higher rate of back injuries and many blame it on the chest rig. They’re evolving too, at the beginning of our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan they were high on the chest but as things have dragged on they’re getting closer and closer to the belt line. The knife is OK if you’re looking to use that for defensive purposes but its limited to only protect in a weapon retention scenario and not for utility tasks and as a final line of defense tool.Ĭhest rigs are extremely popular today, but have some of the same disadvantages as the battle belt. The weapon is unprotected in that style of holster, the pistol mags are retained only by the tension of the fabric, the rifle mags are good to go but they’re also exposed to the elements, the first aid pouch is good and so is the utility pouch. Instead of providing solutions its causing confusion.Ī quick critique of that setup goes a little like this. You’re seeing the competition, combat, law enforcement, security and sports shooting cultures all swirling together. In the gun world we’re seeing a mixture of cultures. I love my gear, but what you’re looking at isn’t exactly what I would recommend during the days of SHTF. If you take a look at the picture above you’ll see a common setup that’s all the rage today.ĭon’t get me wrong. In particular the stuff that you’ll be wearing when you’re trying to take care of business in those bad days that we hope will never come.įirst off, think like a Marine…a Marine in training and not in constant combat. "You're doing it wrong" has become a common headline cliche, a sassier, snarkier version of "8 Questions You Were Too Embarrassed to Ask" and "You'll Never Believe What Happened Next. What I do want to touch on is gear. The people who are employed to write things for the Internet. Well, not the Internet (if, when it comes to precision, we are Doing It Right). The ability to be able to save a Sony Vegas Project in Vegas Pro 12 and open it in a previous version of Vegas Pro would be a very beneficial feature to have. In the end, while it is recommended for Epson L210 printer users, the series of drivers are easily forgotten. Product Basics See these sections to learn about the basic features of your product. The drivers that the software has sure are important for updates and fixes, but they don't provide anything else. However, if you are hoping that the app will greatly enhance the performance of your printer, then you are in for a bit of disappointment. If you are using the Epson L210 printer, then you pretty much need to get Epson L210 Drivers. Other than settings for printing, scanning, and copying, the drivers don’t provide any advanced features. I have the scanner driver deb amd 64 package but I don't know how to install. Unfortunately, this ease extends to the rest of the drivers’ functionality. Epson L210 printer and scanner was working in Ubuntu 14.04 but upgrading to 16.04 only printer is working. Installation is quite easy, as you only need to run the drivers’ execution file, and it will automatically run you through its set-up. Using Epson L210 Drivers allows you to boot up a menu for the printer and toggle settings of your choosing. It’s also smaller than most Epson models and is compact for any space. You can print, scan, and copy with one-its low cost for printing ideal for home use. The Epson L210 printers are all-in-one machines with an integrated ink system. Since Epson printers are categorized under different series and versions, the printer drivers are also designed and optimized for each series. Like hardware manufacturers, they provide the drivers with their products, so users can manually handle the printers’ software system if they wish it. However, you probably know Epson more for its vast range of printers. What I did first was to get the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration. If you're going to go this route, try to make sure you don't use the potion until it's one of the last so you don't get stuck with that emotion longer than you want it. Ī caution about potions: You can purchase emotion potions with aspiration points for some of the emotions, but they tend to stick around for quite a while. It has a big list of emotional states and details many of the other ways to get into other emotional states. If you haven't seen Carl's Sims Guide, I very strongly recommend it. Many of them can be enabled in other ways, like taking a steamy shower for Flirty, but then you've got that emotion on you for hours of game time, and some can be tough to shake off. I'm going to detail how I got this one, but there are many other ways to pick up individual emotions. The best way that I've found to do this is with paintings, when possible, or with rewards from other skills and jobs. So if you've got Happy+1 and Tense+2 and Flirty+2, but you only see Flirty displayed, that only counts as "Flirty".īecause of this, the best way to get through all of the emotional states in one 24 hour period is to use tools with emotional states embedded into them so that you can turn them on and off again. For an emotional state to count in this list, it has to be the active emotional state in other words, the one with the highest count, and which you currently see the words for. If you're not already familiar with sims' emotional states, you can find them in the lower left of the screen and you'll often have multiples at once. (For example, if you skipped straight to "Very Playful", it appears to count the same as "Playful".) Secondary emotional states are the "very" versions of these, and they appear to count just the same as the primaries. I actually had to do it at the start and end of the set of emotions.Īnd now, more detail for those who are interested: Uncomfortable - Low "Bladder" need (should also work with Hunger, Energy, or Hygiene)īored - Use same conversation option three times in a rowĮmbarrassed - Get rejected for a romantic conversation optionĪsleep - Go to sleep. Tense - Low "Fun" need (can easily be gotten by choosing to work hard at work, too, but then you've got to go to work, which eats up time) Happy - Any "decor" without any other moodlets The "primary emotional states" are as follows, along with the way and order in which I toggled them so that they were gone quickly enough:įine - Wake up after sleeping to clear out other emotions in a room with nothing inside (and no negative moodlets from neglected needs) The real key here is using as many tools as possible that only set emotions when on. This one can be a bit daunting at first, but with some preparation and some advanced sims, it gets easier. |
